Just Say No

I've had to practice saying the word NO ... not today ... not in the budget this month to my family.  Being the keeper of the purse strings is a big responsibility that can not be taken lightly.  With daily practice ... it is becoming much easier to just say NO.  I find it utterly pathetic how our society has been hoodwinked into believing we needed so much stuff.  Stuffitis is definitely a mental disorder!   I'm going to into the garden for some therapy!  Spring weather and gardening and reacquainting myself with God's word are the best cure-all.  Enjoy your day.

I have "stuffitis" really, really, bad right now with building a new house. Although, I have to say...you have been an inspiration. Ed re-finished our iron patio furniture and it looks beautiful. We are also going to try and refinish our dining table to match the new kitchen, and convert the old china hutch into a "Pottery Barn" wine rack. Enjoy your day and thanks for being a great role model in the world of thriftiness:)

Hi Tonya & Ed ... it's a little hard to not have stuffitis when building a new home .. but with careful consideration, you can make thrifty choices and do exactly what you are doing ... refinishing and re-purposing existing furniture. This is a very thrifty practice. I can't wait to see more posts about the building progress. Hugs,
