Lightening .. the natural fertalizer (huh?)

Last Years Garden
I can't wait to peek at the garden in the morning.  We had a huge electrical storm pass through that should green things up.  It's especially true if you have any metal (i.e. fencing) nearby.  I'm no scientist .. just observant.  My pole beans greened up quite nicely last year from such a storm.  Here's an article with some of the facts.  HOW LIGHTENING BENEFITS THE VEGETABLE GARDEN

Very interesting article, especially the part about copper wire. We will have to check on our garden too...maybe the eggplants will finally start to grow a little now.;)

Thanks for the link. I had heard about this a few times before but it is nice to read some of the facts on it.

I've never heard of that before, but the truth is the shrubs and herbs are growing willingly against our neighbour's metal fence. That is even in the northern part of our land.
I'll just have to post some pictures of that. The red currant shrubs I planted when we came here are higher than me now, with more berries than I use. We had a thunderball of thunderbolts in the neighbourhood night to Sunday!

I had no idea that could happen. How amazing. We don't get a lot of lightning over here in England. (famous last words - we'll probably have a storm tomorrow) but I will bear all that in mind.
Your garden looks very productive.

Interesting! Never knew that either. We are surrounded by cedar fences so my beans will be slower I guess lol.

Interesting! We put wire fencing around the garden to keep the chickens out. Bring on the lightening!
