Monday's Musings

view from my porch ... after the storm 2/27/12
Change of dinner plans.  Fish tacos were on the menu but upon further inspection of the frozen 'fish' ... I've come to discover it's really a reused bag with the backs of 8 or 9 chickens to make stock.    Guess we're having meatloaf, baked potatoes and a tossed salad instead.

Stock of the week:  you guessed correctly - CHICKEN

Company's coming over twice this week for dinner.

The outside temp this morning was 8F.

Garden seeds are itching to get planted in the mini greenhouse.

It just dawned on me that my days are rather free of late since my daughter is now a stay at home momma.  First time in my life I can do something that doesn't first have to pass the scrutiny of my calendar ;)   ... except in the way-back machine of summer vacation in jr. high school.

Have a blessed day.

Ha, thinking you had fish in the freezer bag sounds exactly like something I'd do!
Tonight its going to be taco's here, one of my favorites!
You are in an entirely new phase of your life...for me it was welcomed and lonely at the same time! You're such a busy bee, you'll fill up every moment, I just wish I could drop by for a visit!

Hope you really enjoy your extra time and take the chance to just chill sometimes!. Its so nice to have some time just to read, dream or just to do some bible study.
God bless

I always get surprised when looking in the old freezer. It's funny though and chicken stock can be used both for good sauces and healthy soups.
I have never tried with fish though.
My mom used to make fish cakes with brown sauce, I guess that would be tasty with chicken sauce in it.
Enjoy your "freedom" for both body and soul. I admire the nice bed room you have created. You are talented in so many ways.
