While Waiting To Plant Garden Seeds .... Projecting Into The Year

.... I'm dreaming of summer, vacation, sitting on the back patio on outdoor furniture, bon fires, front porch rocking chairs, cricket serenades, kayaking, ripe raspberries, brushing up against tomato plants with their intoxicating fragrance.

The Mr. and I are anxiously waiting to  make the last payment on our home .. March 1 ... and to kiss debt GOODBY.   The excitement is akin to graduating college without student loans .. I'm sure .. although I didn't graduate from college.  After 31 years of marriage .. it's about time to be done with house payments.  Our plan is to bring sparkling cider to the bank with champagne glasses for a toast .. and to have Wells Fargo Bank hitch up their stage coach and head into the sunset.

We're looking into a family retreat type of vacation here for mid summer, just an hours drive from home.  Hint, hint to any family members that might read this post .. just let us know if you're interested.

The new/old home is much quieter of late ... with the passing of our beloved dawg last November, my grandson spending his days with his mama, and Nathan being so independent and not needing me every other minute.

It's good to be on the back side of menopause.  No more aches or sleepless nights ..and seldom a hot flash.  Life is good.  Carpe Diem!

I'm so happy for you Mrs. Mac. The best time of life truly is now. The wonders of "New" Nathan is the greatest of them all. Then you are lucky to be owning your own house. That IS an achievement.
You have come there by working systematic and fighting over consuming. Double victory.
May God bless you and stay close to you and your large family all your days.

That is exactly what we hope to achieve when we finally sell our house - NO more bond repayments! Our 32-year marriage, too, has been one constant repayment - hectic, when one thinks of the strain and stress that that must lever on a relationship...

I'm so happy for you :) Congratulations!

Congrats on the upcoming FINAL payment. Now that is cause for celebration!!!
Hubby and I have been debt free for 6 years. What an incredible feeling. No matter how tough times can get (and they always do), not having a bunch of bills to pay certainly helps hubby sleep at night. Me? Well, I'm in the MIDST of the darn hot flashes. No sleep for Sue!
:)
Have a great weekend!

So very happy for you. It is time for this. Less stress, more rest, happier days because the bills are paid. Wish you the very best. This vacation looks fabulous and I'm going to ask my daughter if she would like to go sometime.

Mrs. Mac,
YAY!!!! Congrats on your upcoming final mortgage payment. This is such wonderful news. Western Pleasure Guest Ranch is a wonderful place to vacation, relax, and just get lost in the surroundings of mother nature. I'm jealous and happy for you that your over menopause and can sleep at night. It's been a long 3 years here for me and menopause. I would give anything for a good night sleep. As for the hot flashes, I have found a simple way to control them, one a day vitamins for menopause. It actually helped. Enough about my dreary old body, lol. Enjoy your weekend and I will chat with you later.
