Living Life ...

... takes time.  We have been in a state of flux at the Thrifty Garden/Home.  Nice weather prompted lots of planting in the garden .. then the rainy weather returned and made everything grow rapidly .. mostly the lawn and the weeds.  Having only one nice warm day predicted this week, that meant doing two days worth of (killer) yard work in one day.  With that out of the way for a few days, I've resorted to working inside most of this week.  Getting comfortable with our budget .. and committing it to memory and practice ... less paper and theory ... discovering that $350 is quite a lean food budget for my family and may need some adjustments upward.  Sometimes my ideas are greater than reality;)

The yard is looking good Mrs. Mac, hope you were able to weather last nights cold snap...lots of frost on our property this morning.

In case you are interested, there is a large patch of stinging nettles about 2 miles from your house on the west side of the lake just past the Newman lake exit next to the 25 mph sign.:)

What a beautiful lawn. We'll never have that in BB, tho some do. Your home looks so graceful there with the backdrop of trees & hill.

Good luck with all the yard work. :)

Even if you have to increase your budget a bit, you are still being mindful of where your money is going and making good choices. That's really the goal isn't it? I'm inspired!

Would you consider taking on advertisements to your blog to make some extra budget money? I haven't looked into it; but your blog is certainly attractive. I'm certain so many others would enjoy learning successful budget tips and gain support from others.

Just a suggestion.
